In Loving Memory of Marilyn Ford.

Marilyn Ford was a vibrant, social, and deeply caring woman who brought warmth, laughter, and colour wherever she went.  Known for her wit, charm, generosity, and lively spirit, Marilyn treasured family, friendships, travel, music, dancing, and community connection.  She embraced life wholeheartedly — whether through charity events, social groups, travel adventures, or simply making people feel welcomed, valued, and heard.

A devoted wife to Alan for almost 50 years, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Marilyn had a gift for forming lasting friendships and staying connected with those around her.  Friends and family remember her as “a beautiful, colourful social butterfly” whose energy, kindness, humour, and love of life left a lasting impact on everyone she met.  Her legacy is one of joy, connection, generosity, and celebrating life to the fullest.

This is a space for family and friends to make a donation and leave messages of love and support.

In the next 11 minutes, someone, somewhere in Australia is going to have a stroke.

Stroke is one of Australia's biggest killers and doesn't discriminate; it affects anyone, anytime. It claims more lives than breast cancer in women and prostate cancer in men. And incredibly, around 600 Australian children experience stroke each year.

By making a donation in memory of my loved one, you'll be contributing to sustaining vital programs and resources that Stroke Foundation provides, including:

💙 Preventing Stroke:

  • StrokeSafe Talks
  • Australia's Biggest Blood Pressure Check
  • Information Resources

 💙 Saving Lives:

  • F.A.S.T. (Face, Arms, Speech, Time) Signs of Stroke Awareness
  • Living Guidelines for Stroke Management
  • InformMe Website for Health Professionals

 💙 Enhancing Recovery:

  • StrokeLine
  • My Stroke Journey
  • EnableMe Website for Survivors of Stroke

Your support goes beyond just a donation; it's a lifeline for individuals at risk of stroke and survivors of stroke.

Thank you for supporting me. Together we can change the state of stroke in Australia for generations to come.

Dear Alan Thank you for reaching out to us all with this truly worthy cause Stroke Foundation, my father had a stroke eight years ago so it is a subject close to my heart. We were very fortunate that my father did make a recovery but he is still always on alert with more research needing to be done to help those who are in recovery or at risk. From my family to your family, we send our condolences. 🫶✨🙏
