I'm walking 131km this May for Stroke Foundation

Hey everyone, we are taking on the challenge of 131km in May and raising funds for Stroke Foundation to help create a future with fewer strokes.

Every day in Australia, 131 people will have a stroke.

Stroke is one of Australia's biggest killers and doesn't discriminate; it affects anyone, anytime. It claims more lives than breast cancer in women and prostate cancer in men. And incredibly, up to 120 babies and 400 children have a stroke in Australia each year.

By supporting my challenge, you’ll be helping the Stroke Foundation deliver life-changing programs that focus on:

  • Preventing stroke through education, awareness, and encouraging blood pressure checks

  • Saving lives by improving recognition and response — including awareness of the F.A.S.T. (Face, Arms, Speech, Time) signs of stroke — and strengthening stroke care

  • Supporting recovery with trusted information, StrokeLine, and online communities for survivors and families

Your donation is more than a contribution — it helps people understand their risk, act faster in an emergency, and find support on the road to recovery.

Thank you so much for supporting the kids and i by being part of this challenge.

Together, we can help create a future with fewer strokes.

Our story

Tuesday 28th Apr
This May the kids & I will be taking part in the Stroke Foundation walk '131k in May', which is something very close to my heart 💙

Stroke has personally affected my Great Grandfather and my Pop. Seeing how stroke can impact someone you love, and the people around them, really changes your perspective.

Normally in May we take part in the walk for Autism, which is also something incredibly important to our family. But this year, with Elliot’s approval, we’ve decided to shift our support to the Stroke Foundation instead. We felt it can be hard asking people to choose between causes when supporting us, and this year supporting stroke awareness felt like the right thing for our family to focus on.

Taking part in this walk feels like a small but meaningful way we can help raise awareness and support the incredible work being done for stroke prevention, recovery, and families going through similar experiences.

If you’re able to support us with a donation, no matter how small, we would be so grateful. And if not, even sharing this post helps more than you know 💙
