The Stroke Blokes & Sistas was created to bring stroke survivors, their families, and supporters together through community, connection, and shared experiences. Through our group, we have seen firsthand the profound impact stroke has on individuals and families, with that we have seen how uplifting a positive environment around likeminded people can be.Â
By raising funds for the Stroke Foundation, we hope to increase awareness of stroke, support vital research, improve access to education and support services, and help ensure that stroke survivors across Australia receive the resources they need to live their best lives. Every dollar raised will contribute to the Stroke Foundation’s important work in prevention, treatment, recovery, and advocacy.
Our goal is not only to raise funds but also to start conversations, reduce stigma, and show stroke survivors that they are not alone.
