75 Hard Challenge for Stroke Foundation (Mitch, Dan & Jared)

Why We’re Taking on the 75 Hard challenge for the Stroke Foundation

In the next 11 minutes, someone, somewhere in Australia will have a stroke.

Stroke is one of Australia’s biggest killers. It doesn’t discriminate — it can affect anyone, at any time. It claims more lives than breast cancer in women and prostate cancer in men, and incredibly, around 600 Australian children experience stroke each year.

This cause is deeply personal to us.

In 2025 my (Jared’s) dad suffered a stroke. This was one of the most terrifying experiences of my life — seeing someone you love suddenly vulnerable, not knowing what the outcome will be, and realising just how quickly everything can change. Luckily and thanks to early intervention, care and ongoing support, he is now on a recovery journey.

For Mitch, this fight is just as close to home. He lost his dad to stroke several years ago — an unimaginable loss that continues to shape the way he lives his life today and reminds us all of the devastating impact stroke can have.

For Dan his Aunty Suffered a stroke last year and is fighting like hell every day.

Together — the three of us (Jared Tobin, Mitchell Baird and Daniel Lawrence)  — are taking on the 75 Hard Challenge and fundraising for the Stroke Foundation to help prevent strokes, save lives, and support recovery for survivors and their families.

Hopefully we come out the other side fitter, faster and better for it as well. 😎

💪 The 75 Hard Challenge

For 75 days straight — no rest days, no shortcuts, no exceptions — we will:

• Complete two 45-minute workouts every day (one must be outdoors)

• Drink 1 gallon (3.8L) of water daily

• Follow a structured diet (no cheat meals)

• No alcohol

• Read 10 pages of a non-fiction book every day

• Take a daily progress photo

This challenge is about discipline, consistency and mental resilience — values that mirror the strength shown by stroke survivors every single day.
