I'm walking 100km this May for Stroke Foundation
Hi, I’m taking on 100km in May to raise funds for the Stroke Foundation and help create a future with fewer strokes.
This is personal to me. My beautiful Nan, Dottie, was active and healthy, until a stroke changed everything for her and our family. The day Nan had her stroke she had been to water aerobics and gone for her daily walk around the lake. She lost movement in her legs and left arm, and after 3 months of rehab, and still unable to walk she needed to be placed into full time care. Its been nearly 3 years since Nan passed away and I still wonder if she hadn't of had her stroke would she still be here.
Every day in Australia, 131 people have a stroke. It can happen to anyone, anytime — and that’s why awareness matters.
Knowing the signs and acting fast can save a life.
By supporting my challenge, you’re helping fund education, improve emergency response, and support families like mine through recovery.
Thank you for being part of this with me.
Together, we can make a difference.
