Played annually since 1994, the Counterstroke Golf Classic has raised significant funds for Stroke Foundation.

Each day of the three-day Classic offers mutually exclusive competitions (4BBB Stableford) in women’s, men’s, and mixed events.

Day one and two will commence with a light lunch, and day three will conclude with a sit-down luncheon event.

Prizes will be awarded to the winners and runners up of each competition, women’s, men’s and mixed.

Throughout the courses, you'll find a host of novel competitions and activities to bolster your chances to win some exciting prizes.

Day 1- Curlewis Golf Club

$120 per player

1345 Portarlington Road, Curlewis.

10:00am: Access and complimentary balls at The Range @ Curlewis.

11:00am Light lunch.

12:30pm Shotgun start.

4BBB Stableford.

Day 2 - 13th Beach Golf Links

$120 per player

Thursday 18 August 2022

1732 Barwon Heads Rd, Barwon Heads.

11:00am Light lunch.

12:30pm Shotgun start.

4BBB Stableford.

 Pairs playing at 13th Beach Golf Links and Barwon Heads Golf Club - with the same partner - will automatically be entered into the two-day 4Ball Aggregate Event playing for the Tamie Fraser Shield, proudly sponsored by Wisewould Mahony. The Tamie Fraser shield is awarded to the pair with the highest score, across all divisions.*

*To be eligible to take part, you must have a GolfLink number.

Day 3 - Barwon Heads Golf Club

$140 per player

8:30am Shotgun start, competing for the John Gourlay Cup

The prestigious John Gourlay Cup is awarded to the pair with the highest score, across all divisions.* 

1:00pm Lunch.

4BBB Stableford.

To be eligible to take part in the daily women’s, men’s and mixed competitions, you will need a valid GolfLink Number. To find out more about GolfLink numbers, please visit www.golf.org.au/golflink/

Pairs playing at Barwon Heads Golf Club will also be competing for the prestigious John Gourlay Cup. The Cup is awarded to the pair with the highest score across all divisions.*

All player golf carts should be booked via the golf club directly.

Health and Wellbeing

Please be advised that all participants, staff and guests are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and be able to provide proof of vaccination upon request.

The Counterstroke Golf Classic event, start times and activities are subject to change in line with Victorian Government & Golf Australia restrictions, and public health advice.

COVID Safe Plans for each venue are available by request at fundraising@strokefoundation.org.au

Cancellations and Refunds

Should we need to cancel the Counterstroke Golf Classic due to COVID-19, dangerous weather or any other unforeseen circumstances, we agree to refund the full cost of your booking. Please note that donations are not refundable.

Ticket cancellation requests made by players within 72 hours of the Counterstroke Golf Classic will not be eligible for a refund. Any cancellation made up to 72 hours prior to the event will be eligible for a 50% refund*, and cancellations 7 days prior to the event are eligible for a full refund*. To avoid this, please endeavour to secure a replacement player.
