My husband suffered a stroke 5 years ago at the age of 45 and recovered quite well with no physical defecits. He suffered another stroke 3 weeks ago, this time in his brain stem. Recovery is slow this time around and his right side has been affected more but we are remaining positive
I’m making a difference by fundraising for Stroke Foundation to help prevent stroke, save lives and enhance recovery for survivors of stroke.
In the next 19 minutes, someone, somewhere in Australia is going to have a stroke.
Stroke is one of Australia's biggest killers and doesn't discriminate; it affects anyone, anytime, even unborn babies. It claims more lives than breast cancer in women and prostate cancer in men. And incredibly, around 600 Australian children experience stroke each year.
