In loving memory of Des/Dad/Papa
There is absolutely no expectations here, but for those who have requested, we would appreciate donations in lieu of Flowers to help families who are impacted or affected by Stroke in the future.
This is a space for family and friends of Des/Dad/Papa to make a donation and leave messages of love and support.
Although Des overcame a battle with cancer quite a few years ago (donations also welcomed in Memoriam to the National Cancer Council of Australia, link at bottom), it was a Stroke he suffered which ultimately leads us to this page. He was his usual jovial, sociable self just the day before, yet the following morning lost movement in one arm and could not speak (something which would not have sat well with him), it was sudden and unexpected. Unfortunately he did not recover and peacefully fell asleep later that afternoon, despite assistance from the amazing ambulance and RAH staff.
