In Loving Memory of June Loye

Welcome to my In Loving Memory tribute page.

It’s hard to find the right words to sum up a life like June’s. She meant so much to so many of us.

Over 20 years ago, June had a stroke. And the family remember how scary that time was, how uncertain everything felt. But if you knew June Loye, you knew one thing — she was stubborn in the best way. Determined. Resilient. That stroke might’ve changed some things, but it never changed who she was. She didn’t let it define her. Instead, she went on to live a full, beautiful life — not in spite of what happened, but almost in defiance of it.

And she did it all with that same quiet strength and joy that always made her who she was.

She was loved fiercely by Jim, who stood by her side every step of the way. Their love was something solid. Real. The kind of love that carries you through decades, through the good times and the tough ones, too.

To her children, Glenn, Victoria, Greg, Grant and Aaron she was more than just Mum because she lived, even when life tried to slow her down. She found joy in the little things in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Even when things weren’t easy, she didn’t complain. She just kept going. She showed us that a good life isn’t about everything being perfect but dealing with the good and the bad.

Many people will miss her every day. But more than that, we’ll carry her with us — in our stories, in our families, in the way we love each other.

This is a space for family and friends to make a donation and leave messages of love and support.

In the next 11 minutes, someone, somewhere in Australia is going to have a stroke.

Stroke is one of Australia's biggest killers and doesn't discriminate; it affects anyone, anytime. It claims more lives than breast cancer in women and prostate cancer in men. And incredibly, around 600 Australian children experience stroke each year.

By making a donation in memory of my loved one, you'll be contributing to sustaining vital programs and resources that Stroke Foundation provides, including:

💙 Preventing Stroke:

  • StrokeSafe Talks
  • Australia's Biggest Blood Pressure Check
  • Information Resources

 💙 Saving Lives:

  • F.A.S.T. (Face, Arms, Speech, Time) Signs of Stroke Awareness
  • Living Guidelines for Stroke Management
  • InformMe Website for Health Professionals

 💙 Enhancing Recovery:

  • StrokeLine
  • My Stroke Journey
  • EnableMe Website for Survivors of Stroke

Your support goes beyond just a donation; it's a lifeline for individuals at risk of stroke and survivors of stroke.

Thank you for supporting me. Together we can change the state of stroke in Australia for generations to come.
