Prevent Stroke. Savel Lives. Enhance Recovery
At Keilor Park Soccer Club we are making a difference by fundraising for Stroke Foundation to help prevent stroke, save lives and enhance recovery for survivors of stroke.
Each year we look to support a cause that is near and dear to our Community. Sebastian Gangemi is a familiar face at Keilor Park Soccer Club, whether it's at the BBQ cooking a steak, serving a drink at the Bar or undertaking a handyman task he is a familiar face. Seb is also a proud club sponsor of the Club.
Seb suffered a stroke whilst going about his normal workday and is alive today due to his quick thinking colleagues, paramedics and supportive family and friends.
In the next 11 minutes, someone, somewhere in Australia is going to have a stroke.
Stroke is one of Australia's biggest killers and doesn't discriminate; it affects anyone, anytime. It claims more lives than breast cancer in women and prostate cancer in men. And incredibly, around 600 Australian children experience stroke each year.
