GENERAL EVENT INFORMATION
What is Run4Stroke?
Run4Stroke is a community fun run/walk event, held along the scenic Mordialloc foreshore. Formerly known as the Training with Mates Stride4Stroke event, it continues to grow in strength and spirit. With 4km, 7km, 14km and 20km options, there’s a challenge for everyone — whether you're walking, rolling, jogging or running.
When is Run4Stroke happening?
Saturday, 22 November 2025. The registration check in opens at 7.00am and wave starts beginning from 7.30am.

How much does it cost to enter?
Tickets are $50 per person. Children under 12 participate for free with a paying adult.
What are the distances I can choose from?
You can choose to walk, jog, or run:
- 4km
- 7km
- 14km

REGISTRATION & TICKETING
How do I register?
Register here (link to registration form: https://www.fundraise4stroke.org.au/register/run4stroke/defaultregistrationform) to secure your place. Spaces are limited, so register early!

- Entry to a fun, community-driven event by the beach
- Support for a great cause — preventing stroke, supporting survivors of stroke and creating a future with fewer strokes.
Can I register on the day?
Yes, if the event hasn’t sold out. However, we highly recommend registering in advance to secure your spot.
How old do you have to be to enter?
You must be 16 or over to enter alone. Children under the age of 16 may still run/walk, however, they will need to be accompanied by an adult at all times during the event.
Do I need to register children?
Yes. Children under 12 are free when accompanied by a paying adult, but they still need to be registered for safety and insurance purposes.
ON THE DAY
What time should I arrive?
Please arrive at 7.00am to check in, warm up, and prepare for your wave start from 7.30am onwards.
What should I bring?
- Water bottle
- Sunscreen and hat
- Comfortable running or walking shoes
- Cash or card (for food stalls and raffle tickets)
What is along the course?
Water and basic first aid stations will be located at all turnaround points: 2km, 3.5km, 7km, and 10km. Our friendly staff and volunteers will be there to support you, offer encouragement, and help keep you hydrated and safe throughout your walk, jog, or run.
Will there be water stations on the course?
Yes! Water stations will be available along the route to keep you hydrated.
Can I bring my dog or pram?
Yes, well-behaved dogs on leads and prams are welcome! This is a family-friendly event.
GETTING THERE
Is public transport available?
Yes. Mordialloc Station (Frankston Line) is just a 5-minute walk from Peter Scullin Reserve. Head down Centreway and cross Beach Road to reach the foreshore.
Where can I park?
Parking near the reserve is limited. Arrive early and check signage for time limits. Paid parking is available at:
- Mordialloc Pier Car Park
- Owen Street Car Park
- Beach Road and surrounding streets
FUNDRAISING & IMPACT
Why should I fundraise?
Every 11 minutes, someone in Australia has a stroke. Your fundraising helps Stroke Foundation deliver life-saving education, support services for survivors of stroke and their families, and vital research.
Where do the funds go?
Funds raised support key Stroke Foundation programs including:
- StrokeSafe community education
- Promoting the F.A.S.T. (Face, Arms, Speech and Time) signs of stroke
- StrokeLine and My Stroke Journey resources
- Research, recovery and prevention initiatives
How can I fundraise?
Once registered, you’ll receive access to your own fundraising page. Share it with friends, family, and colleagues to rally support. Every dollar makes a difference.
RUN4STROKE SINGLET
How do I receive my Run4Stroke singlet?
If you purchase an official Run4Stroke singlet online, it will be sent directly to you via Australia Post prior to the event. Please ensure your postal details are correct at checkout.
If you purchase a singlet after Friday 7 November, you will need to collect your singlet from the registration check in tent on event day.
Can I collect my singlet on the day of the event?
Only if you purchased your singlet after 7 November. All singlets purchased online on or before 7 November will be posted to your nominated address. They will not be available for collection at the event.
What if I don’t receive my singlet before the event?
If you ordered your singlet on or before 7 November and it hasn't arrived by Tuesday 18 November, please contact us at fundraising@strokefoundation.org.au and we’ll do our best to assist.
Are singlets included with my registration?
No, singlets are an optional extra and must be purchased during registration portal or via the online shop page.

Can I volunteer on the day?
Absolutely! Volunteers are crucial to making Run4Stroke a success. Email us at fundraising@strokefoundation.org.au if you're interested.
Is the course accessible?
Yes. The course is flat and suitable for participants of all ages and abilities, including those using mobility aids and prams.
Will there be food and drinks available?
There will be limited food and beverage options available to purchase on the day.
What if I register and then become injured, or am unable to attend the event?
When registering for Run4Stroke, all participants must accept the Terms & Conditions. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer refunds for change of mind, injury, or inability to attend. We appreciate your understanding, as your registration fee supports Stroke Foundation’s vital work and covering the cost of staging the event.

What if it rains?
Run4Stroke will go ahead rain or shine. In the unlikely event of severe weather, we will communicate any changes via email, SMS and social media.
Will I get a finisher’s medal?
We don’t provide finisher medals for Run4Stroke. This helps us keep event costs low so that more of your registration fee and fundraising efforts go directly towards preventing stroke, saving lives, and supporting survivors of stroke through vital programs and services.
