Why your help is important
In the next 11 minutes, someone, somewhere in Australia is going to have a stroke.
Stroke is one of Australia's biggest killers and doesn't discriminate; it affects anyone, anytime.
It claims more lives than breast cancer in women and prostate cancer in men.
And incredibly, up to 120 babies and 400 children have a stroke in Australia each year.
Funds raised through the 2025 Counterstroke Golf Classic will go directly to StrokeLine, ensuring this vital service continues to:
- Provide reliable information on stroke prevention, treatment, and recovery.
- Offer compassionate support when it’s needed most.
- Make sure every call for help is answered.
StrokeLine
Every day, our StrokeLine team receives calls from survivors of stroke and their families. They turn to us for help when they desperately need it.
The StrokeLine team are trained health professionals who give free support, information and advice on stroke prevention, treatment and recovery.
StrokeLine only exists because of the support and donations received from the Australian community. And, with over 440,000 survivors of stroke in Australia, there has never been a more important time to help keep StrokeLine running.
Together, we can make sure no call for help goes unanswered.
