Baking for a cause
With Stroke week around the corner, I have decided again to get out my beaters and whip up some yummy gourmet cupcakes to raise money for a foundation close to my heart.
So why the Stroke Foundation? 7 years ago my mum had to make a life changing phone call to the emergency services in Coffs Harbour. My father was having a stroke. Unfortunately, my father didn't receive the treatment he needed in time for the stroke to have little or no affect to his brain.
As a family, we have all banded together to make sure dad continues life and normal as possible. It has been a road of ups and downs.
6 years ago, after months of racking my brain as to how I can help my father get better, I realised it was up to him to work on that and my job to help find a way to stop this from happening to others.
So this is why, as most of you know, I like to help raise all important funds for the Stroke Foundation.
Baking for a cause is a fundraiser I have held successfully a few times over the years. All you have to do is order, donate and enjoy.
Thank you all so much for your support, we all appreciate it more than you'll ever know. ❤
