About the Counterstroke Golf Classic

What is the Counterstroke Golf Classic?

add remove

Played annually since 1994, the Counterstroke Golf Classic has raised significant funds for Stroke Foundation to help prevent, treat and beat stroke.

There is a three-day Classic which offers mutually exclusive competitions (4BBB Stableford) in women’s, men’s, and mixed events.

Day one and two will commence with a light lunch, and day three will conclude with a sit-down luncheon event.

Prizes will be awarded to the winners and runners up of each competition, women’s, men’s and mixed.

Throughout the courses, you'll find novel competitions and activities to bolster your chances to win some exciting prizes.

Taking part and securing tickets

What if I cannot attend all three days of the classic?

add remove

You can take part in one, two or all three days of the Classic.

Do I need a GolfLink number to take part?

add remove

No, you do not.

However, to be eligible to win a prize in the daily women’s, men’s and mixed competitions, you will need a valid GolfLink Number. To find out more about GolfLink numbers, please visit www.golf.org.au/golflink/

Can I still take part if I don't have a team of 4?

add remove

The competition format is 4BBB Stableford.  Each playing group is made up of 2 teams of 2 players. All golfers play their own ball, but only one ball (the better ball, or one that scores the highest number of stableford points) counts per pair, per hole.

We encourage you to enter in groups of 4, however if you have a team of 2, we will endeavour to match you up with another pair.

Do I need all my team's details to purchase a ticket?

add remove

No, you don't. You can purchase a team of 2 or 4 without knowing all your team details. You will be asked in the process to provide your team player details, and in this case you can simply re-use your own.

When you do lock in your player details, simply get in touch with our team and we can action the updates.

How do I purchase tickets?

add remove

You can purchase tickets a couple of ways, by either purchasing tickets online or downloading an entry form.

Buy tickets online here

You can purchase tickets online for your team of 4, your team of 2 or your own individual ticket. The individual ticket option is for players who are part of a team but wish to purchase their tickets separately. And don't worry, there is a section in the process to include your team leader, so we can group you together.

If you don't know all your team details, that is okay. Simply use your details (or put in NA) for each compulsory section and you can provide these later. For any changes to your team details, simply get in touch.

Made a mistake? That is also okay. Simply get in touch with us and we can help.

If you choose to download the entry form (which you can complete online or print and scan) please send it to fundraising@strokefoundation.org.au
